AIM Pleased to Be Presented the 2013 Green Supplier Award from Philips Lighting

Cranston, Rhode Island, USA - AIM Solder, a global leader in the manufacture of solder assembly materials for the electronics industry, announces that the company has been recognized by Philips Lighting China with Philips Lighting’s 2013 Green Supplier Award during the Philips Lighting China Supplier Day in Shanghai, China in large part due to the company’s participation in the Conflict-Free Tin Initiative (CFTI).

AIM was chosen from a group of over a thousand suppliers in part due to the partnership between the two companies in the CFTI, supporting responsible sourcing and economic development in the Democratic Republic of Congo, working towards ensuring the conflict-free status of the supply chain and an improved economic future for the people of the DRC. Another major contributing factor to being titled 2013 Green Supplier is AIM’s assistance to Philips in achieving major cost savings via a change-over from SAC305 to the lead-free SN100C solder alloy.

The 2013 Green Award presented to AIM by Anna Spinelli, Commodity Leader, SVP of Philips Lighting, was accepted on behalf of the company by David Suraski, Executive Vice President of Assembly Materials Division and Lincoln Zhang, Senior Sales Manager.
